In a distant land, there was a great temple that housed a massive wheel at its entrance. The monks who lived there believed that this wheel represented the cycle of life—birth, death, and rebirth. Every day, people would come from all corners of the land to spin the wheel, believing it would bring balance and harmony to their lives."
One day, a troubled young man arrived at the temple. He had lost his way in life, feeling as if the world was spinning out of control. He approached the monks, seeking guidance.
“I have no balance in my life,” he said. “Everything is moving too fast, and I can’t seem to keep up. How can I find peace when life is so chaotic?”
The head monk smiled and led him to the great wheel.
“Life moves in cycles,” the monk explained, “much like this wheel. There are times of chaos, times of calm, moments of joy, and moments of sorrow. But the wheel always turns, and with each turn, balance is restored. You cannot control the spinning of the wheel, but you can choose how you respond to it.”
The monk invited the young man to place his hand on the wheel and spin it gently.
As the wheel turned, the young man felt a sense of calm wash over him.
“No matter how fast life moves,” the monk said, “remember that you are part of the cycle. When you accept the flow of life’s turns, you will find the peace you seek.”
The young man left the temple with a newfound understanding. He realized that life’s ups and downs were not to be feared or fought—they were simply part of the greater cycle. In accepting the movement of the wheel, he had found his balance.
